Doughnut Obsession~!

I have a new food obsession! xD This time around it's doughnuts. ^.^ It's crazy, because I had three yesterday (splurge day), and I'm still left wanting more! :O I am really amazed that the Savemart near my house has a great variety of doughnuts for sale, and I'm even more amazed that they're actually good! I used to be so against getting doughnuts from grocery stores, since a lot of the ones I had before weren't so tasty, too! Plus, buying them from Savemart is also a lot cheaper than buying from an actual doughnut shop.

Some of the ones I love that they carry are the ones with the M&M's on them, as well as the ones with the pastel colored frosting and coconut (which has become one of my favorites). :3 They also have a really fun one with crushed Oreo cookies on it with a gummy worm in the center! xD Doughnuts sure seem to be getting fancy these days! There's so many different kinds and flavors available everywhere, and I want to try them all~! *drools* I heard that some places have red velvet cake doughnuts and ones sprinkled with bacon! (They seem to put bacon on everything these days, too... I don't really like bacon, but I am kind of interested in seeing what it tastes like on a doughnut). I still really like the simple doughnuts too, though, especially apple fritters and maple bars! ^_^ I used to get those all the time when I was little! Every time my family picked up doughnuts, I always chose the same thing over and over again, and I never got tired of them.

Speaking about when I was little, I used to eat doughnuts very strangely... I used to scrape off the frosting of the maple bars and just leave the bread part alone. It was similar with the case of the apple fritter, too. I'd only pick at the outer part of it where it was covered in glaze, and once I did that, I was finished. It was really a horrible waste... ;_; Those weren't the only things I ate weirdly, either. I also ate corn dogs and ice cream bars in an odd manner. For corn dogs, I ate the breading off of it first and then I moved on to the hot dog, and for ice cream bars, I started by chipping away at the chocolate shell and then saved the ice cream part for last. My family used to tease me all the time about the way I ate things. Lols! I was always an oddball, even back then......

Dogs and "Dogs"

While I was walking to the store, I saw this really adorable golden retriever being walked with it's owner. ^.^ All of a sudden, he was running toward me, pulling the poor woman who was walking him along with him (I hope her arm isn't injured!). It was so cute though, because as soon as he made it to me, he was wagging his tail and very affectionate. x3 He was so sweet! The owner then said that she was sorry for him bothering me and that he had never had run up randomly to a stranger like that before, but of course I wasn't bothered at all! In fact, it kind of made my day. It's impossible to not be happy after an encounter like that, or at least that's how I feel. xD

However, as I continued on my way, I encountered "dogs". I'm not talking about the nice, furry kind this time around, I'm talking about the ones that are actually... men. I don't hate guys or anything like that, but I hate the guys that try to act cool with their friends while they're inside their car and stick their heads out of their windows and shout things at innocent women that are walking down the street going about their own business. Seriously, what do those guys gain from yelling out "HOT!!!" or "WOOO!" at us women? Do they earn cool points for doing stuff like that? Do they think that they're giving us a compliment or something...? If so, then I think they need to change their methods because I certainly don't appreciate it or find it to be flattering. In fact, I find it to be quite the opposite. Frankly, I don't care if anyone thinks I'm hot or not (aside from my husband. His opinion is the only one that matters to me). I didn't step outside of my house for their approval of my appearance. -_-; Though, I guess that sort of thing is harmless at the very least. No real damage is being done. It's just annoying at the very worst.

I think the reason why it bothers me so much though is because I honestly don't really like drawing attention to myself in public, good or bad. Most of the time, I like to think that I'm invisible. I know I'm not, but that's what I like to think. Whenever I happen to get attention, I immediately start getting really shy and embarrassed because I feel like my cover has been blown, and I feel the urge to run away and hide. v_v;  I've been like that since middle school due to constant bullying. I handle it a lot better than I used to, though. I'm actually able to look people in the eyes now and say "thank you" when people give me a compliment. I used to flat out deny them. :P

I have no idea how I went from talking about dogs, to guys, to being bullied in middle school. I'm sorry for jumping from topic to topic! ^^; I am a bit random like this, so it's kind of a normal thing for me. haha!

Can't Sleep...

It's my second night by myself since my husband had gone to Florida. I really dislike being here alone when night comes around... At least during the days, I can go out and distract myself, but at night, I'm confined to the house (ladies shouldn't be out by themselves at night; it's not safe!) and I start to realize just how lonely I feel. The house just seems so empty with no one else around... I can't help but be a bit sad when I think about that.
Well, at least I am able to talk to my husband daily, so that makes things a bit better. So far we talk once in the morning, then in the afternoon, and then right before he goes to bed. Still, it's not quite the same as him being here.

I know, I know... I'm whining too much. :P I guess when it comes to the people I love and care about most, I can get really clingy. I can't help it! Dx I have to say though, even though he's not right next to me, I'm happy that he's having so much fun with his family and friends. ^_^ He doesn't get to see them very often, being in the army and currently residing on the opposite side of the country from them. They only get to see him about twice a year! I only have to be without him for 10 more days. Compared to how long they all have to wait just to see him, that's really nothing. It makes me feel a little bad when I think about that... Still, I'm really looking forward to him coming back! xD I guess the saying "absence makes the heart grow fonder" is really true! Since he's not around, it just makes me want him even more! Interesting how that works... :P

Anyways, I should really try to get some sleep. It would be bad if me staying up late persists and I look like a total wreck as soon as he walks through the door. Lols! Good night, everyone! Have pleasant dreams. :)

I Really Want To Smack Pageant Moms.....

Dads too. I know that that is a really awful thing to say, but it's true! I wouldn't be so mad if pageant parents didn't take it so far... I mean, it's fine to have your child participate in  one or two here or there, as long as the children don't have to have 50 pounds of makeup on their faces, fake tans, fake teeth, and hair that's twice the size of their head. Don't even get me started on the atrocious (and often too provocative) outfits they dress them in, either. -_-; I feel that if they are going to enter their child in a pageant, they should have them look like children, and not like miniature adults. It's seriously disturbing.

Another thing I find to be wrong about these types of pageants is that they are conveying the wrong message to these kids. It seems as if they're trying to say that in order to be beautiful, you need to look a certain type of way and that if you have to drastically change your features by artificial means in order to fit that image, do it. It really is heartbreaking that some of these little girls are saying that without all of their pageant makeup, clothes, and wigs, they don't feel beautiful. Can't the parents see what kind of damage they are doing? There daughters already are starting to have warped views on how they think they should look.

Not only that, but it also is teaching these children to value looks above all else. I remember watching these young girls fixated on their reflections in the mirror and sassing their mothers and fathers in the Toddlers and Tiaras commercials on TLC, and I was appalled that their parents had done NOTHING about their child's behavior. I know that when I was a little girl, I would not be able to get away with that attitude. My mother had always taught me that while looking good may be nice, it is much better to have a beautiful heart and to be kind and respectful. I didn't see many (if any at all) of those pageant parents teaching their kids that. And they wonder why their kids don't listen to them or why they act  like stuck-up divas... It's really unbelievable.

Above all else, I wish that they would just let their kids be kids. You know, let them run around and play in dirt.... They shouldn't have to worry about getting messy or ruining their hair or losing weight to fit in their stage clothing. I feel really bad for them, since it seems like their childhood is being taken away from them... It's unfortunate....

Catherine

To be completely honest with all of you, I actually got this game as a gift for Christmas and had already beaten it months ago, but I've started to replay it again and so I really wanted to write about it! x3 Catherine is by far one of the most unique games I've ever played. For those of you that don't know, the story is about a man named Vincent, who has started having some odd nightmares. He is in a relationship with his long-term girlfriend, Katherine, who has pretty much been hinting to him that she wants him to settle down and marry her. Vincent, of course, likes the way things are already between them, and isn't quite ready for that kind of commitment. One night at the bar him and his friends frequent, he encounters Catherine, a young blonde who turns out to be Vincent's idea of a perfect girl. The next morning, he wakes up to find Catherine in his bed! Vincent then starts struggling with guilt, lies, and to top it all off, the nightmares have become increasingly worse. He has to overcome these nightmares, otherwise, they could be the death of him.

What I love about this game the most is how the story captivates you and keeps you guessing. There were tons of times when I was just sitting there as I watched the story unfold and thinking "what in the world is happening?!". There are just so many unexpected twists that are thrown in that really put me on the edge of my seat and made my heart rate shoot up. It definitely made me want to keep on playing through the levels just so I can find out what would happen next. I also like how some of the dialogue and the ending (there are 8 different endings total) is influenced by your answers and choices, making it more interesting to replay the game.

Another thing I think is really cool about this game is that you have the option to save the other characters who also suffer from the nightmares. You can do this by helping them out and selecting the right answers when talking to each of them, I had found out. I was really psyched when I managed to save one person (it was Justin) when I first played, because I had no idea that it was even possible to do that and thought that everyone else was fated to die. My goal is to save everyone this time around!

Other things that I really enjoyed were that when you unlock achievements, you get new songs that you can play on the jukebox in the bar. I thought it was great that they even included some soundtracks from Persona 4! I also kind of like that you could play the mini game, Rapunzel, while at the bar, too. I like that you could play it as much as you want without it taking up time in the game, so you don't have to worry about it becoming too late or not having enough time to talk to the others at the bar.  I also found it to be pretty good practice for the puzzles in the nightmare world when I started out, since it's set up the same way,  the only difference is that your goal is to reach the tower to save the princess instead of trying to climb your way up in order to survive. It really helped me become more familiar with how to move the blocks and to figure out different ways to climb without the pressure of the blocks falling from below me or about stepping on trap blocks. I also like the quirky graphics. They're really different and I've never actually seen a game with that sort of look to them. The best way I can describe them is that they sort of look like... 3-D anime drawings. They even captured the anime expressions, which you can often see Vincent making while playing.

The only things I have to complain about is how the camera zooms in and out or changes angles on you during boss stages whenever the bosses do their attacks or do something to the blocks. It made it really hard for me to see what I was doing a lot of the time.  Also, I don't know if this is just me, but sometimes when playing through the nightmare levels, it almost seemed like the controls were slow to respond, resulting in a delay in Vincent's movements. Sometimes moving around the blocks while hanging off the edges of them proved to be frustrating, as well. Still, it's a great game, and the pros outweigh the cons by a lot.

Catherine has easily become one of my most favorite games! It really brings a lot to the table, and if you decide to purchase it, you won't be disappointed. It's fun, interesting, and it makes you think (as expected from a puzzle game). So if you haven't tried it out yet, you're missing out!

Liquid eyeliner vs. Gel Liner

First off, I will say that this comparison between the two different eyeliners is solely based on my own opinion and which I feel had worked best for me. :) I'm not saying that one is ultimately better than the other or anything of the sort. Now with that out of the way, lets start! ^_^

I've always been someone who has struggled with using liquid liner. I could never quite use the brush correctly, and every time I tried using it, it just landed up looking like a complete disaster. Eventually, I just had given up using it altogether and stuck with crayon liners, even though I didn't like using those much either, since the ones I've used never really stayed in place and always smudged and smeared on me. Even so, they were easy for me to use. Then, I discovered pen liquid liners, and I became enthusiastic about that and purchased the Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner Pen!

I loved it as soon as I tried it. It was just as easy as using a crayon liner AND it had the kind of staying power that I had been wanting. The lines also came out smooth, crisp, and bold; the way I always try to make my liner look as much as possible. It also made it easier for me to reach closer to the inner corner of my eyes, which I usually can't get to without messing up and smearing the liner onto my lid. I was extremely happy with it. ^_^ The only thing was that after awhile, I noticed that the pen had a tendency to dry out quickly, so I had to work fast. I also didn't quite like that I couldn't see how much product I had or how much was remaining. I like knowing how much I have to work with so I can easily tell when it's time to get more before I completely run out of it (I seriously do not like having a deficiency of eyeliner... I'm a bit of a freak with it and MUST have a good supply of it around).

I landed up using the last bit of my Dolly Wink liner yesterday (or at least I think so...? It at least had enough in it to where I was able to do both eyes and complete my makeup), and so I went out to shop for more eyeliner. While they don't carry the Dolly Wink brand at any of the stores in my area, they did have other brands of liquid eyeliner pens in stock. Instead of picking up another liquid liner pen though, I decided to go with the Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner.

At first, I was a little intimidated by the brush, since it just reminded me of how badly I failed with the liquid liner brushes in the past. I was also kind of disappointed in seeing how small the container of eyeliner was. To my surprise, the application was really simple, as it just glided right on and didn't tug at my lids at all, and  only a small amount of product was used to complete both eyes! The brush was also small enough to get closer to the inner corner of my eyes too, so there was no hassle with it, just like the liquid eyeliner pen. Another thing that I liked about it was that it literally only took me seconds to finish applying it to both eyes due to how easy the application was, which I'm not really used to since I'm very OCD with the way my eyeliner turns out. I had no problem making thick lines or thin lines. It really cut down my primping time tremendously! I'm also happy that it also still is pretty bold just like the liquid liner, and it still hasn't smudged on me even though it's been hours since I did my makeup, though it may have helped that I set it with a little bit of black eye shadow. So far, there are no cons about this product that I can come up with.

For me, it's definitely clear that the winner here is gel liner! I've become an instant fan of it. ^_^

YAY!!!!

The new pink Hello Kitty glasses that I ordered came in today! I was so surprised that they arrived here so quickly! They look so much nicer than I expected them to~! :D And I think they personally look really cute on, too, which I'm glad about because I wasn't quite sure how they would look on me. xD

I had to model them right away. xD I love them a bunch! My husband thinks they're really cute on me too~! <3 I'm so glad that I can wear something like these glasses and he doesn't get embarrassed over it. It makes me happy that he likes my sense of style as much as I do! :3

Weekend Date~!

The weather out here this weekend was so gorgeous, and I've been enjoying every moment of it! It's usually so cold where we live, so warm days are somewhat of a rarity, and so I thought it would be the perfect for my husband and I to take a trip to the beach! Needless to say, so many other people had the same idea, and it took us awhile to find a parking spot, but in the end, it was all worth it!

Just look at that view! It was so pretty, I practically begged my husband to snap a picture of it just so I could post it here! Lols! I really enjoyed my time there. The whole time we were there, I was busy splashing around in the water (which was pretty cold, but I was able to adjust to the temperature quickly) and  running around having fun like a kid! It was a refreshing change of pace when most of the time I'm just at home cleaning and doing chores. Also, so many dogs ran up to me while I was there. xD It seems like no matter where I go, dogs just make a beeline for me. I really have no idea why, but I really love it! Every time it happens, it just makes me want pet dogs even more!

After the beach, we headed to Taco Bell for some Doritos Locos tacos (which are SO amazing!). We were starving, and it hit the spot just right. ^.^ Then after we finished our meal, I spotted a crepe place called the Monterey Crepe Company, which was right next to Taco Bell. It's funny, the whole time we've lived here and despite how many times we've been down that very street, I've never once noticed it before until then. We decided to take a look inside and it was kind of small, with not very many tables or people inside, but their menu was huge and had quite a selection of sweet and savory crepes(they also had muffins, cookies, sandwiches, coffee, and other beverages for sale). Given my huge sweet tooth, I of course chose something off the "sweet" menu.  I chose one called "Papa Johnny", which contained Nutella, bananas, coconut, and almonds and was topped off with whipped cream and confectioners sugar. I wasn't too sure how those ingredients would taste blended together at first, but once I had my first bite, I definitely did not regret my decision!

Doesn't it look delicious? Looking at it makes me want another one~! Too bad I have to be good until next weekend! Lols!

It really is a shame that the weekend is now coming to an end. It just seems like it passed by so quickly, but I suppose that's what happens when you're having fun with the one you love. :3

Otome Games!

I'll admit it... I'm kind of obsessed with otome games right now~! x3 Amazingly, there are a ton of free ones that can be found online and are free to download! The only thing is that most of the free ones don't have such great artwork, and I'm extremely picky about that (I need my games to be visually appealing). TT_TT Luckily, I've come across this really fun and addicting one that's playable online called Star Project! :D

In Star Project, you play as a talent agent and your objective is to make your client rise to fame, and to also fall in love. :3 You can unlock different events, raise your client's skills through playing mini games (which are really simple, but at the same time entertaining), do part time jobs, go on dates, dress up your client (though, some of the clothes require you to pay in gold, which you have to purchase or do free offers for in order to obtain), and take on jobs that you can earn "stars" from.  ^_^ You can also eventually sign contracts with more than one client. From what I've heard, new clients come in every couple of months.

Star Project has to be one of the best free otome games I've played (and am still currently playing) since RE: Alistair++. The art is really pretty and well-done, the backgrounds are nice to look at and are colorful, and the music is pleasant, ranging from happy and upbeat tunes to soft and soothing ones. Some things I don't really like is that the "chit chat" option doesn't do much. None of the characters say anything interesting, which is a bummer since I think it would have been cool to get to know the instructors and other people better and give them more depth, in my opinion. Also, I don't like that your energy gets drained so quickly, giving you only a few minutes to play without having to purchase an energy drink or waiting until the next day. That's pretty standard for many online games and all, but it doesn't mean I have to like it! Lols! I also noticed that there are a few grammar/spelling errors here and throughout the game, but it's not something that really bothers me much.  Overall, it's definitely worth playing and I would recommend others to try it out!

Here's some screen shots of the game that I took:

Super Cute~

I've been shopping around for some cute, fashionable glasses, and have come across these:

Hello Kitty frames! x3 This is the first time I've come across them, so I don't know if these are old news or not, but I don't care! ^.^ I found them here on Etsy. In the link, the description says that they only have the black ones in stock, which made me a little sad since I want the pink pair... with a little searching though, I found the pair I wanted on ebay! They seem to carry all of the colors there, and not only that, but they are also being sold cheaper than the ones on etsy! x3 It's quite a steal, so I'm extremely happy to have come across them!!! xD  I couldn't resist, so I had to buy them~!

Other really cute ones I saw were these (which can be found here)
Pandas! x3 *squeals*

And these! (you can purchase them here)
These come in different colors and can be found on the same site in the link!

Unfortunately, I couldn't find the other two pairs of glasses anywhere else, so even though I like those two very much, I can't get them at the time being. :( Hopefully they'll still be around sometime later!

Is Time Speeding Up?

It certainly feels like it is. It really feels like this week just came and went in a blink of an eye. O_O In a way, I do like that it hasn't been dragging along, but at the same time, I wish that it would slow down a bit, especially since when Wednesday rolls around, I'll be by myself for two weeks. :( My hubby will be flying to Florida to spend time with his friends and family, since he's not entirely sure how often he'll be able to visit them once we are in Japan. Just thinking about this is making me miss him already! TT_TT

It's funny though... Three years ago before I met him, the idea of living alone with no one else around seemed ideal to me. I really thought that that was how I was going to live, and I was happy with the idea. Now, I can't even imagine sleeping alone in a big bed without someone rolling over to my side and clinging to me. xD Not only that, but this place is going to be really quiet without him, too. Hearing him curse and yell at the games he plays everyday has become so normal to me, and quite frankly, I find it to be hilarious. :P

*sigh* I'm starting to get all mopey, even though I know he won't be gone forever. Plus, I am the one who decided to stay behind on the trip this time around, since I want to spend a bit more time with my mother and my brother, who is coming in from Georgia for leave (my brother is also in the army). Well, thinking about it now, I suppose I won't be completely alone after all, but for the most part, I will be. It's a shame that I can't really spend the night at my mom's place or wherever my brother will happen to be staying, since I have my furry babies to look after and I surely can't take them all with me. v_v;

Ugh! I need to think positive! I shouldn't feel so glum! I'm perfectly capable of having fun on my own. This could be a good opportunity for me to have more time to do the things I enjoy doing, such as reading and maybe going out and doing some shopping... It's not like I live far away from a certain tourist area (which shall not be named for private reasons), so I have no reason to stay at home bored. Maybe it may be nice to go out to eat somewhere by myself, either. If I keep myself as busy as possible, it won't be so bad. Thinking of it like that makes me feel a bit better already! ^.^

Devil May Cry HD Collection

Ignore the nails... They're growing out, and I need to get a fill soon. ^^;

First off, I would like to thank a certain friend of mine and my hubby's for buying this game for me! x3 I don't know if you're actually reading this, but I'm really grateful! I had no idea that they even released the first three games for the Xbox 360!

I haven't played the Devil May Cry series in such a long time, but I really loved the games and had so much fun playing them, even though I had NO skill and died often. Lols! In a way though, it made getting past the parts I struggled with most just that much more rewarding. :)  Aaaah, nostalgia! I hadn't opened this yet, but I promise that I will soon (most likely in a few minutes)! I wonder if I'll do any better playing this time around.... I've been told that I have been improving on my gaming skills, so I hope so! xD  I mean, I did used to struggle a lot playing Final Fantasy X when I was younger, but when I played it again a few months back, I beat it no problem. I guess I'll get to see how I will do, later. :P

Another thing that I'm kind of curious about is the controls. I wonder if it'll be somewhat similar to the PS2 or if it'll be different and something I'll have to adjust to. I've also been thinking that it's possible that it might be similar to Devil May Cry 4's control set up, but I hadn't had the chance to play that one yet, so even if that was the case, I'd still have no idea... ^^;;; Oh well, all I need to do is mess with the controller for a bit and I'll figure it out, I'm sure. :3 It really isn't that big of a deal for me either way~!

....I actually think I'm going to land up playing now! xD Thinking about it, it'll be like playing a completely new game since I can barely remember the story.... v_v; (disappointing, really...) It's a good thing I happened to get this as a gift instead of Devil May Cry 4 after all, since I'd be lost and confused about what's happening, most likely. I'm going to try to catch up! *determined*

Kitties :3

So, while my husband was cleaning out the guinea pig cage, Blair (named after the cat in Soul Eater xD) decided to crawl inside the top part of the cage. The upper half of the cage is detachable, and my  husband has to remove it in order to clean out the old guinea pig bedding and replace it with a fresh layer, and he usually sets it aside on the floor with the latch undone, making it easy for Blair to access.

She would probably stay in there all day happily, if we'd only let her. She has a thing for hiding in boxes and such. :P

And then, there's our other kitty, Sundae, who really loves to climb on my hubby's shoulders......

We've got cute little weirdos. x3 Lols!

My Spring-Summer Fashion Wishlist

The days are sunny and vibrant, the weather is mild and temperate, it's absolutely gorgeous! This, of course, now means it's time to break out the cute sundresses, the shorts and tank tops, open-toed shoes, short skirts, and even swimsuits!!! It also means that there are a few new articles of clothing and accessories that I feel I must have to look good during the warmer seasons. xD Here's my wishlist for spring and summer:

1. Dark wash denim jacket

Preferably one like in the picture. Notice how it doesn't go past the hips and how the sleeves don't go all the way down to the wrists? I think it would be great to pair with a short, floral sundress! ^_^

2.  Skirted bikini

Not only is this style of bikini really cute and girly, but also it's a great style for girls with pear shaped bodies, like me! The skirt can actually help camouflage certain problem areas, such as the hips, butt, lower tummy, and upper thighs. :3

3. Tiered lace miniskirt

I've been wanting a soft, delicate, romantic look for spring, and I think that this skirt captures that perfectly. x3

4. Charm bracelet

A charm bracelet can add a touch of innocence to a look. ^.^

5. Rose ring

6.  Eyelet lace sundress

I actually have a ton of sundresses, but you can never have too many~!

7. Crochet shrug

Perfect for warmer weather and can really add something extra to a simple outfit. ^_^

8.  Ribbon and pearl necklace

Classy, feminine, and simply beautiful!

9. Peasant blouse

10. Striped tank top

I want one that's not too long and more fitted. One that would look great paired with shorts and a draped vest

11. Draped vest

Speaking about a draped vest......

12.  Flower clips

Nothing says spring like floral hair accessories!

13.  Flower brooch

And why not accessorize your clothes with a flower brooch, too?

14. Cork wedge heels

And that pretty much sums up my list! <3

Rune Factory Frontier vs. Rune Factory Tides of Destiny (Comparison)

During Christmas of 2011, I had bought both Rune Factory Frontier and Rune Factory Tides of Destiny for my husband, who really wanted to try out the two games. Ironically enough, he never plays them, and I play them all the time now. :P For those of you who aren't familiar with the Rune Factory series, it's a spin-off of the Harvest Moon series. It allows you to do farm work, take care of animals, mine, upgrade your barn and home as well as your farm tools, and best of all... You can fight monsters and level up!

Anyways, just recently,  I had beaten the main story of Frontier and got married (to Selphy), and had a child with her, and now I've moved on to Tides of Destiny. While I haven't gotten very far in ToD, I've already discovered things about the game that I like and dislike.

First, I will start with the positives:

* I really like the fact that in this one, you have the option to play as a male or female character
* It's great that it got rid of the complicated runey system
* I love that there are more weapon choices (especially the dual blade option! x3)
* I like how the movement feels more free, especially now that you can jump around places
* The anime cutscenes are seem cleaner, sharper, and all around much prettier than in Frontier
* The overall graphics just look better
* I like that they added different colored monster portals to signify different elements
* I like how the villagers greet you when they see you running around town
* I love that they kept all/most of the sound effects and music tracks from Frontier
*The characters are more animated (for lack of a better word) and seem more lively when talking to them (you can see their expressions, movements, and reactions during conversations)
*I like how it doesn't take forever to load different locations

Now, onto the negatives:

* I don't care for the new character profiles much... I liked the look of the anime profiles they had for Frontier much better
* The character cast in general seems dull and less quirky compared to Frontier (or maybe I'm just biased since I've grown so attached to all of the characters in Frontier xD)
* I hate how they have more suitors to choose from for the male character and not enough for the girl
* Speaking of main characters, I much prefer Raguna's personality over Aden's
* So far, I find the whole "I somehow got stuck in my best friend's body thing" kind of dumb (maybe it'll make more sense to me when I progress in the story more....?)
* It's annoying that you get skill ups just from running around, jumping, greeting people, and for a bunch of other unnecessary things other than the ones that I actually care about, such as cooking, crafting, magic, forging, and weapons

That's all I have for the time being. So far, I don't understand why more people seem to enjoy Tides of Destiny more than Frontier. I mean, sure Frontier has it's flaws and the runey system can be a bit tedious, but once you get it down, it really isn't all that bothersome. Maybe I just haven't invested enough time in ToD yet, but right now, it just isn't doing as much for me and much prefer Frontier over it. We'll see how things play out later on, though.

Baking Soda: Miracle in a Box

For the past couple of weeks or so, I've decided to use baking soda to wash my face in the mornings and at night in place of the cleansers and soaps sold in stores. I had my doubts about it at first, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot since I ran out of my La Roche-Posay Purifying Foaming Gel and use it temporarily until I could go out and buy more. To my pleasant surprise, I actually find that I like using it so much more than what I had been using before. Don't get me wrong, La Roche-Posay is great as it's not drying and it's really gentle on the skin, and it brought my skin back to life after it was destroyed by Proactiv (Proactiv seriously dried out my skin and made my acne and breakouts even worse and more inflamed), but I didn't see much improvement in my complexion after that. With the baking soda, I can see that my skin is smoother, softer, more radiant, and clearer than before. ^_^ I've also noticed that my face feels cleaner after washing it, too, and that it helps get rid of my blemishes quicker than any other product I have used in the past. So, with that being said, baking soda has earned a permanent place in my skin care regimen. Good bye, all of you expensive serums, toners, and soaps! I don't need you anymore!

Haha! It almost seems as if I'm trying to campaign against Proactiv. xD

My love for baking soda doesn't just stop at skin care... I've also recently found out that it's also great for cleaning hair as well! It helps remove build up and residue from shampoos and styling products. A lot of people who don't use shampoo swear by using it to wash their hair, and seeing how well it worked for my skin, I decided to give it a try. I mixed a half cup of baking soda with about a cup of water (I use the same measurements and mixture for my skin), took it in the shower with me and lathered my hair and scalp with it like I would with shampoo. After that, I rinsed out my hair thoroughly with water and then finished with an apple cider vinegar rinse (it's highly recommended that you use that afterward). I noticed that my hair really did feel cleaner (just like with my skin!) and that my hair also felt lighter in weight. When my hair had dried, my hair also looked really shiny and was bouncy, too! ^_^ I've also found that my hair didn't become oily near the roots the next day and remained dry. :)  As much as I love the results that it had on my hair, I'm afraid that I cannot completely give up shampoo, since my hair is color treated.  Baking soda can cause colored hair to fade quickly with frequent use, so instead, I think I'm going to use it once a month for a deep cleansing.

In conclusion, I would definitely recommend others to try out baking soda for either hair or skin care. However, it may not be the best option for those who have really dry skin or hair, as it may make it worse. If that is the case and you still want to try it out, the best thing to do might be to mix a very small amount into your shampoo or facial cleanser and use it that way.

I hope this provided some useful information to all of you, and I hope that if you decide to try it, that you'll love it as much as I do!

It's Like Watching Grass Grow...

...Except instead of grass, it's my hair. I have a few more inches to go before I'm at my desired length, but it feels like it's taking forever.... I keep measuring it often to see if it made any progress, but I know I shouldn't do that because it'll make the process seem even longer. :P I can't help it though, since I'm just too excited and eager to style my hair in so many different ways! That's most likely why I've been so obsessed with cute hair accessories lately. ^^;

I've never really had long hair, except for when I was very little. Apparently back then, my hair was all the way down to my tiny tush. xD Eventually though, my mom had it cut quite short because it was such a pain for her to style my hair at that length on a daily basis, and it didn't help that I had a lot of hair that was fairly thick. Ever since then, I've kept my hair short to medium, never touching my shoulders. I have to admit, shorter hair is much easier to maintain and wash, but I just got bored because there wasn't much I can do with it. I pretty much always just wore it down. I want to do more with it, especially when I see these lovely girls on youtube with long, beautiful hair making cute hair tutorials. It just makes me want to try out all the different looks! x3

Right now, my hair is about an inch or two past my collar bone, and lately the best thing for me to do with it is tying it up into two little pigtails. It makes me feel like I look a lot younger than I am, but for now it looks better than just leaving my hair down. It tends to flip outward at the ends, especially in the back, but I am slowly getting past that. It was really bad when my hair was like, right at the curve of my neck and resting just slightly above my shoulders... -_- Talk about annoying... Not even my straightener could make it lay flat!

Anyways, I'm doing my very best to help my hair grow healthy. I changed my diet (though, that was mainly so I can lose weight, so I guess that's actually killing two birds with one stone), I've been taking vitamins, and I really, really try to cut down on using my hair dryer and straightener so much, and I try not to dye it as often, too. It's actually been pretty easy doing all of those things, especially since I mainly stay at home most of the time. I have no urgent need to style my hair every single day. The only thing that I can't really keep up on is scheduling a hair appointment to remove dry/split ends every 8 weeks... Thankfully I've never really had any split ends or breakage before, even when I used to abuse my hair like crazy. The worst I suffer from is dryness, which I do try to fix with deep conditioning masks and leave in conditioners, as well as drinking plenty of water. It really is surprising... o_o I used to do so many hair don'ts... It makes me shudder thinking about how badly I've treated it before, and I can only thank my lucky stars that my hair was never beyond repair. I hope to keep it that way by taking care of it as much as possible now. ^.^

Ouch! x_x

I think my wisdom teeth are starting to come in even more. I noticed that my gums surrounding the tooth on the bottom right side is a bit sensitive and tender, and it almost looks as if the tooth is a little more... out there. Lols!  I guess that means I am probably going to schedule an appointment to get my wisdom teeth sooner than expected. O.O Yikes, I'm definitely not looking forward to that! TT_TT I absolutely dreaded it when I had to get some teeth pulled before I had my braces put on back when I was in high school, and I'm pretty sure that this will be worse. :P

I can't wait until the whole thing is over and done with... I really don't like having to wait around wondering when I have to go in and have them removed. Plus, I was promised that I will be able to eat all the ice cream I want until I'm all healed up! ^.^ (All the ice cream you can eat should not only apply to people who have just had their tonsils removed! That's just unfair!) I'm kind of looking forward to looking like a puffer fish afterward, too. Is that strange? The reason for that is that I sort of want to take pictures of myself after the surgery and post them here when the time comes. I mean, why not? xD It probably won't be the most glamorous of looks for me, but I think that's okay. I'm sure that sometime in the future, it would be fun to look back at those pictures and laugh. :3 Maybe it'll make other people laugh, too. That's what I'm hoping for, anyways, even if it will be at my own expense. To me, the possibility to make someone smile from something like that will make it worth doing. :)

Venting...

It's been a couple of days since my husband's friends have arrived here at our home, and while I do not mind their company in the least, I notice something about my husband every time they're around; his personality changes. I suppose it's like this for many people, but a lot of the time it seems he becomes slightly annoyed with me and a little more snappy. Sometimes I feel like I don't even exist, but I guess that's to be expected since he really doesn't see his friends all that often, but I still can't help but feel a little bothered by this. What really took the cake was that earlier, I just asked for a hug, and while he did give me what I wanted, he said afterward that he didn't want to show too much affection around company. -_- I didn't think a hug was all that much to ask for or was so inappropriate...

The odd thing is that this behavior comes and goes randomly throughout the day. One moment he is kind of cold toward me, the next he's all charming, but by then I'm already upset and can't bring myself to be all cute and loving. Sadly, I just can't act the way he expects me to whenever it's most convenient for him. I like how he is much better when it's just the two of us, when he's pretty much always sweet to me and tells me things like how much he misses me after a long day of work and that seeing me makes him feel so much happier. Of course, I would never forbid his friends from coming over and staying even though I feel this way. Like I said before in a previous post, I like that they care enough about him to come and visit, especially when some of them come over from different countries just to spend time with him. That kind of friendship is really hard to come by, and I would never want to ruin that. The only thing I can do is just stick it out and try not to lose my temper. It's not like this will last forever.

Honestly, I already feel better just being able to get this all off my chest. It feels good to be able to say exactly what's on my mind, especially during the times when I can't really talk it out with anyone. *Sigh* I must seem so pathetic... haha. Oh well. :P I'm off to go do my own thing now and kill some time! Sims 2, here I come!

"On behalf of the moon, I will right wrongs and triumph over evil..."

I was so stoked to have found a Sailor Moon sticker! x3 I used to be so obsessed with that show when I was little, so I kind of freaked when I saw it. xD I always thought Sailor Moon was kind of a good role model for girls, even though she was an anime character. Think about it, at the end of every episode, they had that one segment called "Sailor Moon Says..." that had good lessons to teach, such as being kind to others, being responsible, and not judging others by their appearance, and of course, much more. ^_^ It really influenced me as a child to be as good as I could be in hopes to be like her. Amazingly, the things that I learned from just that tiny part of the show still stuck with me as I grew older, too! :D It's a shame that most cartoons and shows now don't have lessons to teach or a moral. Most of it is mostly compiled of random garbage that really does rot your brain. Seriously, I feel like I lost a few brain cells watching some of the newer stuff on Cartoon Network (though I have to say, Adventure Time and Regular Show are still pretty funny despite being completely random).

Anyways, after thinking of where to place the sticker, I finally decided to put it on my laptop. Take a look! ^.^

Yeah, I've also got Chrono from Chrono Trigger on here, too. :3

Shopping~

I decided to wear my new dress from Hell Bunny out today, and it caught so many people's attention! xD I was really happy over the compliments I received on it, especially because I love my new dress a bunch, but I also was a little embarrassed over some of the stares I got. ^/////^ I wonder if some of them thought I looked strange, but it doesn't bother me much if that really was what they were thinking. I feel absolutely amazing wearing this dress! Lols! It almost makes me feel like skipping through a field of flowers. It may sound weird saying that, but wearing it just makes me feel so feminine and youthful wearing it! Does that make sense...? :/

Oh! Also, while I was out, I came across these really cute blue bows at Hot Topic and I had to get them! As soon as my hubby and I left the store, I ran to the restrooms to go put them on~!

Haha, you can see the guinea pig cage behind me. xD

I love the little anchor charm on the bows! x3 They're adorned with rhinestones!!!! (I'm a freak for rhinestones)

I kind of like the way they look with my dress, even though they're a much darker blue than the stripes on it. :3

I really can't wait until my hair grows longer... *sigh* I've been really wanting to buy more hair accessories and I want to be able to style my hair in more ways, like in long waves with ribbons! I still have a few more inches to go until it'll be at the length I want it, and it feels like it's taking forever for it to get there. -_-;  All I can do though is be patient. :P
