Crazy About...Socks?

Lately, I've been really into socks. Not gym socks or ankle socks or anything like that, but thigh high socks. ^.^ I've been wanting some so badly and they seem to be in everywhere right now! They come in such unique and interesting designs! x3 I have my eye on a few pairs that I found at sockdreams.com and socktheory.com at the moment.... Here are my favorite ones that I saw:

I think that these would be so much fun to wear! I have a feeling my hubby wouldn't mind seeing them on me, either. ;) Lols! Something about thigh high socks are really sexy, or so I've been told. Some of my male friends had said so before, but they didn't really explain why they thought so. :P To me, they're more like cute accessories that can make an outfit stand out. What's your opinion on them?

A New Look!

I got bored and decided to change the layout of my blog~! ^_^ I think it's really cute now! Lols! Though, I thought the old layout was cute, too... ^^; I just get tired of looking at the same thing over and over again. I like to change things up! It's more fun that way, I think. I've been wondering about maybe changing the layout once a month on here.... I don't know. It's just an idea for now. Honestly, I think the most annoying part of changing a layout is making a nice looking header/title thingy... I mean, I'm not great at it at all, and I use basic online editing tools to create mine, but still.... I put a lot of work into them. >.<; Lols!

I wonder if I should try to get better software to make my own backgrounds and such... It might look nicer if it was 100% customized by me... I need to look into that, I suppose. I'll have to learn how to do something like that too, since I am really bad with working a computer.... v_v; The most I can do is go online, download things, and a bunch of other basic stuff... Sad, huh? :P

My Female Celebrity Crushes xD

Even though I'm a straight girl, I can't help but admire some of the female celebrities out there. ^.^ So here are my top 5 (no specific order)!

1. Sofia Vergara

This woman is insanely gorgeous! What's even more amazing to me is how well she has aged! She definitely does not look like she's in her 40s at all! I would be happy if I could look half as good as she does when I reach my fourth decade... xD Aside from her looks, she's also really funny. ^.^ Every time she shouts in Modern Family, I can't help but laugh~! She just becomes so animated and crazy... I love it! I also like how she can poke fun at herself. I remember reading somewhere that she sometimes makes her accent stronger than it really is for the sake of a joke. I think that the fact that she can do that makes her all the more attractive. ^_^

2. Catherine Zeta-Jones

Yet another more mature, gorgeous woman! I've loved Catherine since I was a kid. When I saw her in The Mask of Zorro, I was in awe of her beauty and I wished that I could look like her. Needless to say, her looks haven't faded a bit! She's every bit as lovely as she was back then! Also, I've always thought she was a great actress. I really loved all of the movies I've seen with her in them. :)

3. Taylor Swift

Taylor is so pretty, cute, and talented. :3 I love her music and I like listening to her sing! Another thing that I  love about her is that she dresses elegantly instead of showing off everything she has like most stars tend to do. That's pretty rare and it really makes her stand out from the rest. She also seems like a normal and real girl, and that adds to her appeal. She also has inner beauty to match her pretty looks. She truly is a sweet and down to earth person, and if I had the chance to hang out with her, I happily would!

4.  Ayumi Hamasaki

I've been a long time fan of Ayumi. x3 I love everything about her! I've always envied how well she could pull off long or short hair and still look utterly fabulous! I also really enjoy her sense of style, as well. Also, when listening to her sing, I love how there's feeling and power behind her voice. She's really incredible, and I have to say there's not one song from her I don't like. Another thing that I really admire about her is that she always stays true to who she is, and never tries to be anyone else but her. Because of that, I look up to her. :D

5.  Rachel McAdams

What I like best about Rachel is how she can play various different roles so well. She is excellent at playing a mean girl, but does equally as well at playing the romantic type. She really gives her all in each role she plays, and she's passionate about them. Not only that, but she's intelligent, too! With all of that plus her beauty, she really does seem to have it all!

A Week Until Mother's Day...

I'm going crazy trying to think about what to do for my mom on Mother's Day! @_@ While I was spending time with her these past couple of days, I had asked her if there was anything she could possibly want, and she told me that even she had no idea what she would like. ^^; I really want to do something nice for her, though. She deserves it. ^_^

My mom... She's so obsessive compulsive when it comes to cleaning and organizing. Sometimes it's down right maddening and she makes me feel exhausted with her constant zooming around the house. It doesn't even have to be her home in order for her to start taking over. I can't tell you how many times she just started cleaning my home, even after I already did the household chores... -_-; She means well though, and she's outstanding at what she does, but sometimes I feel she just needs to relax... Which is why I had been thinking about possibly doing a spa day with her. Not only would we be able to spend time with each other, but she'd be able to wind down and not have to worry about things for a day. I was thinking it may be a good change of pace for her.

Afterward, I was thinking it may be a good idea to take her to a restaurant... I mean, on top of the cleaning, she also cooks everyday. Plus, her boyfriend and my hubby would be able to be included, since I doubt either of them would be too thrilled over joining us for facials and whatnot. xD I know my mom would be thrilled to spend time with everyone together. ^_^ She always said how that always made her the happiest.

Or maybe we should just spend time shopping...? Despite being really busy at home, my mom still loves to be glam and stylish. She loves new clothes, makeup, and accessories, so maybe spending a day at the outlet stores would be great, too.... If she finds something she likes, I just might be able to buy it for her. Or maybe first we could go to the mall, and then once we're there, surprise her with a gift card to her favorite store.

There really are a lot of ways to go about the day. I need to make a decision fast, especially since it's coming up so fast.... All I know is that I want it to be perfect and I want her to enjoy herself. She does so much, and even though I'm all grown up and have moved out already, she still helps me out with whatever she can. I'm truly lucky to have a mom like her, and I want to show her just how grateful I am for her! ^.^

Embrace the Natural YOU!

Freshly rolled out of bed!

I had caught myself thinking about my high school days, and I remembered that when I was younger, I couldn't live without putting on my makeup. I didn't even want to go anywhere in public without first having put on my lip gloss, concealer, eyeliner, and blush and styling my hair. My friends had never seen me NOT done up. I was extremely self-conscious and had always spent ridiculous amounts of time in front of a mirror. It was like I needed to look as good and as perfect as I could 24/7. At the end of the day, the worst part for me was when I had to wash all my makeup away. I felt ugly and hated how I looked without it.

I wasn't the only girl like this, either. I knew plenty of girls at my school who were exactly the same. Back then, it seemed normal to be that way. Thinking about it now though, the whole thing just seems really sad. The worse thing is, sometimes girls don't grow out of this mindset. Some still believe that they aren't pretty without doing their hair and makeup and dressing up, even though that's not true. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that anyone should stop doing these things. I LOVE getting myself all dolled up still; it's fun! I just don't feel like I need to rely on it to feel good about myself anymore, and neither should anyone else.

I fussed over my looks for so long, and after awhile, I became sick and tired of it. Eventually, I just stopped caring about what other people thought (or to be more exact, what I thought people thought) of my appearance and picking at every little flaw on my body, and you know what? I'm so much happier now! I learned to accept my less than perfect traits and some of them I've even come to like.  Those stretch marks on my thighs?  Most women have them, and they fade over time! That mole that's right in the middle of my nose? It's a little mark that makes me unique. How many people can you say that you've met with one in that exact spot? I've never seen anyone else with one. :) I grew to love that part of me and quit being embarrassed about it. I actually can't even imagine it not being there anymore! xD

Also, I try to keep in mind that not many people are even going to sit there and try to spot all of  my imperfections anyway, so why should I stress over them? Most likely, they're more focused on their own  "flaws", not mine. Heck, they probably can't even see them! I can't tell you how many times my friends had complained over something about themselves that I hadn't even noticed and vice versa. So there is really no point in my making myself miserable, is there? :) The same goes for everyone else!

What I'm trying to say here is, everyone is beautiful the way they are. Everyone! ^_^ Don't let anyone make you need to be a certain way to be considered pretty, because that's just a bunch of barnacles! (SpongeBob reference....haha). You don't need to hide or change a thing about you, so.... EMBRACE YOUR GORGEOUS SELF! Annnnd go out there and flaunt your natural beauty. :D

My Minecraft Creations!

I really enjoy playing on creative mode and just making a bunch of neat things and being able to build whatever I like without worrying about the creepers blowing everything up! ^_^ Here are some of the things I had made~! Hope you enjoy them! :3  You may have to click on the pictures to get a better look at them. ^^;

It's Getting Easier....

Being alone, that is. It's been almost a week since my husband left for Florida, and I've been getting used to being here with no one else around. In a way, I kind of enjoy doing everything at my own pace and only worrying about my own mess to clean up and feeding myself. It's like a little vacation for me! xD Not to say that I don't miss him anymore, because I do, but being able to have time for the things I want to do is great! I really love being able to go out without having to worry about getting back early to start cooking dinner and to be able to greet my husband home from work.

I guess choosing to stay at home turned out to be good for me, in a way. I feel like I've gained some independence. I had never been left alone before, at least not for too long. I've always had someone around that I could depend on if I ever needed something or if I was scared... I found out that that was part of the reason why I was worried about my husband going to Florida without me. I realize now that I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself and don't need to rely on others so much. I needed to find that out, otherwise, I would probably be depending on others my entire life. What kind of life would that be?

Haha, well, look at me, 20 going on 21 and I'm still maturing! I feel like there's still a long way to go for me. I still feel like I have so much to learn about becoming an independent adult and that I'm still like a kid. Well, I'll just take things one step at a time. I guess people weren't kidding when they getting older is rough. o.o
