Beauty Products I Want To Try Out This Year!

There are so many interesting beauty products out on the market and so many seem to claim to provide miraculous results. Not all live up to their claims, but some do, and a majority of people rave about them.^_^ However, not everyone gets the same results, and the only way to find out if these products will work for you is if you try them out yourself! There are quite a few that I'm really interested in testing out this year. Some of the products I'll be listing have been around for awhile, but some will be newer, more recently released products as well! :) So without any further ado, let's start!

1. Mane 'n Tail Shampoo and Conditioner

Technically, this shampoo and conditioner is meant for horses, but it can also be used safely on human hair, too. There are many positive reviews about Mane 'n Tail shampoo and conditioner that state that it makes hair thicker, softer, and shinier, and that it even promotes faster hair growth. While my hair is already thick, it's bit on the dry side and can sometimes look dull, so I'm hoping that it would help my hair look healthier. Also, I wouldn't mind if it can help me out a bit with hair growth as well, as I'd like my hair to be just a little bit longer. :)

2. Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream

Currently, I've been using Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in No. 21. It's the first BB Cream I have ever tried and I really love how it feels so nice and light on my skin and how it seems to help some of my blemishes go away faster, but sometimes it just doesn't provide enough coverage for me and I land up having to use some concealer along with it. Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly supposedly provides more coverage than most bb creams, and that's what mainly is drawing me to this. I'm hoping that I won't have to use as much concealer with this during the times a small zit or two or three decide to spring up on my skin. Another plus I've heard about this is that this product doesn't have to oxidize, which I've noticed that Missha Perfect Cover has to do. Missha Perfect Cover has a gray-ish cast to it when it's first applied to the skin, and has to sit for a little while before it blends in. The only thing that seems to be a downside with Aqua Jelly is that it only comes in two shades, so it's kind of a gamble on whether or not either of the two shades would be a match with my skin.

3. Maybelline The Rocket Volum'Express Mascara

I really really hate most mascaras that I've tried. My lashes are a decent length, not too short, not too long, but they sure lack in volume. Almost every mascara I've tried seems to just either clump my lashes together our just make them look longer and stringier than they really are, and that's just not a good look. There is SO much hype over Mabelline's new Rocket mascara though, with many people saying how much thicker their lashes look after using it and how it doesn't clump at all. It sounds like it has exactly what I need in a mascara, so I'm really looking forward to picking up a tube and seeing if it really does deliver. Hopefully I won't be left disappointed!

4. Henna Hair Dye

I've been dying my hair burgundy since I turned 14 using Revlon's Colorstay hair dye, and really, I believe that that's really been taking a toll on my hair's condition. Henna hair dye is supposedly much less damaging to hair and it apparently can help make your hair healthier and stronger since it's all natural, though there are some brands of henna dye that contain metallic compounds that aren't so good for the hair, so it's important to find one that doesn't have those. It also doesn't become brassy as the color fades out, too. I really don't want to give up coloring my hair, so I figured this may be a better alternative to coloring it without abusing my hair to oblivion. I still need to find exactly which brand I should go with, though.

5. Snail Street Snail Cream

It's weird, a cream with the base ingredient of snail excretions, but it's said to help prevent and reduce wrinkles, lighten and fade acne scars, evens over all skin tone, and leaves your skin looking radiant! It just sounds so interesting and there seems to be a lot of benefits from using it, so I'm really curious about it and want to try it out! ^.^

6. Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm

The packaging for these look so cute and colorful, and the idea of it being tinted and nourishing for the lips really appeals to me. I'm kind of a sucker for tinted balms and lip glosses, since I really don't like wearing bold colors on my lips and prefer just a soft, subtle hint of color. I'm looking forward to picking up a couple of these!

My Winter Fashion Wishlist!

This is coming out slightly late, but the winter season isn't over yet! With the changes of the season, changes in fashion must also be made. Time to trade in the short skirts, shorts, tank tops, and sundresses in favor of things like coats, scarves, sweaters, boots, and so on! ^.^ So, here are some of the things that I've been eyeing up this winter:

1. A Faux Fur Stole

Because real fur isn't cool, yo! :P But in all seriousness, I've always thought this single piece can add some glamour to an outfit!

2. Lace tights

Cute, feminine, and adds something a little extra to an ensemble without being too distracting and over the top. ^_^

3. Newsboy cap

Just because... I've really been wanting one for a little while now. I've always loved this style of cap. It's simple and cute, and hats are really just perfect for this time of year.

4.  A cute trench coat

As most people know, a coat is absolutely essential in cold weather, and since I've never been a fan of  bulky, fluffy jackets, a sleek and stylish trench coat is the way to go for me!

5.  Boots

No, boots in the winter time is nothing ground breaking or unique, but I just never seem to have enough pairs of cute boots! x3 My wishlist just wouldn't be complete without boots on there!

6.  Long satin gloves

Satin gloves can look so classy when you're all decked out to go to a formal event, and they can also be quite functional by keeping your hands and arms warm! It's a win-win! ^.^

7. Knit scarf

Again, nothing earth-shattering, but I know I can really use a nice, knit scarf. Almost every winter, I complain about freezing to death, so it's time for me to do something about it! Plus, scarves can make for nice accessories, as well.

8. Knit leg warmers

Some people love them, and some people hate them.... I'm one of the ones that love them! It's one of the few trends from the 80's that I actually really like! They also come in so many adorable styles lately, so I really want a pair or two!

9. Ear Muffs

I've always wanted some similar to the ones in this picture! Ear muffs are again both cute and functional, and look great being worn properly or around your neck. x3

10. Hand muffler

An adorably stylish way to keep your hands from stinging and becoming icicles when you're out and about! Not to mention, they're really cozy, too!

And that's all, folks! ^_^

Kawaii Nails!

I ordered a set of nails from kawaiinails.com a couple of weeks ago, and they finally came in today! x3 I was surprised that they looked just as pretty in person as they did on the site! The only thing I was a little sad about is one of the nails was missing rhinestones. They stated on their site that sometimes rhinestones will be missing, though, and they aren't responsible for rhinestones falling off, so I can't really pin that on them, but still... I wish they would have provided more replacement beads with in their little baggy of backup rhinestones and jewels so I could fix it properly.  Oh well, not like rhinestones are that hard to come by, anyways. :P Overall, they're very nice looking, and the glue that comes with the nails seems to dry instantly on contact with your nail bed. I didn't have to press down on them for too long at all in order to get them to stay.

I ordered a small, and for the most part, they seem to fit comfortably enough, but I think next time, I'll order a medium and see how that works, or I'll just order custom sizes. I almost wish I did that, but I didn't realize that was an option when I got these. ^^:

Amazingly, they're already holding up better than other press-on nails that I've tried in the past. The real test is seeing if they stay on while I'm asleep, though. I've had nails just randomly disappear on me overnight, never to be found again... Q_Q I also worry about how well they'll hold up in the shower, since in order to remove them, you need to soak your hands in warm water for about 30 minutes. I'm just curious if being in the shower for that amount of time would have any effect on the glue... I'm hoping it doesn't, because I really don't want to accidentally lose one down the drain or having to keep re-applying them constantly! >.<

If they hold up well, I'll definitely stock up on these and get other sets. They're cheaper than getting acrylic nails done at a salon, and you can get more uses out of them. Plus, it seems that these are far more gentle on my nail beds than acrylics, too, which I totally love since my nails really can't take much abuse (they're paper thin and always have been since I was little). I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!

I Think I Love Seiyu

Really, Seiyu is actually a lot of fun to shop at. >.> It's almost impossible for us to go to a Seiyu and not buy something. O.O We went yesterday to go buy my Tamagotchi ID L 15th Anniversary Version (I'm kind of a freak for Tamagotchis... I'm currently taking care of 3 at once!), and we landed up not only buying that, but green tea and vanilla ice cream flavored kitkat bars, a Tamagotchi Nano (which my husband had wanted for himself), some yokan (a gelatin-like dessert usually made from sweetened red beans), and mitarashi dango, among other things. ^^; We always seem to walk out with more than what we came in for. It's kind of dangerous.... What makes it worse is that it has a pretty good-sized arcade on the very top floor, so we spent even more money playing Taiko Drum Master and even Pachinko there. xD

Either way, I'm so happy I finally have all of the latest tamagotchis~! They're so much fun, even though sometimes it's so hard to keep up with them all. @_@ But yeah... I've been wanting the 15th Anniversary one for a little while now. It's so cool, because with the 15th Anniversary one, they added some of the older and original Tamagotchi characters back in! I think it's pretty cool that you're now able to see them in full color and in more detail now. ^_^

Ignore the mess in the background.... Just focus on the pretty  Tamagotchi....

Isn't this surprising? I actually got a purple one instead of yet another pink!

My Princess Spacey ID L and my husband's Tamagotchi Nano side by side.... Look how tiny it is! It's also very reminiscent of the older Tamagotchis....

Oh! And also, while we were shopping, I also found this super cute Alice in Wonderland stationary set!

I've already opened it and have written out two letters for my mother and my brother so far. I thought it would be nice to actually send them both a handwritten letter. It's so much more personalized than typing out an email to them or talking to them through Skype. It's such a shame that not too many people write letters anymore... I used to love receiving letters from my friends in the mail when I was younger. It was just so exciting! There's just something special about them... I still have all of the letters from my friends to this day, and every now and then I love to pull them out and re-read them.^_^ It kind of gives me this warm, fuzzy feeling inside! Does that sound strange?

I kind of went off topic there.... xD Oh well. :P It's my blog, so I guess I can do that if I'd like~! ^.^ Plus, it's more fun if it's random.... Or at least that's what I think. Anyways, I think I'll end my rambling here. Bye bye, everyone!

Random Stuff I Want For No Reason

I got the idea for this post from a thread I saw in the miss bimbo forums (yes, I play miss bimbo), and I realized that there are a whooole lot of random things I want that I don't really need; things that are useless but still make me want them because they're just pretty or would be neat to possess. So, without any further delay, here's my list of random stuff I want for no reason:

1. Perfume bottles

I've always wanted to collect a bunch of decorative perfume bottles and put them on display~! x3 So far, I've only got one, but I definitely plan to get more someday. ^.^

2.  Lip tars

I really don't need more makeup, but I have to say that I really really reeeeaaaally want the lip tars from Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics! <3 They come in so many vibrant, fun, and unique colors, and you can also mix them together to create your desired shade~! The possibilities are endless with these! Also, even though the tubes they come in aren't all that big, these can definitely last you a long time since you really don't need to apply all that much product. A little drop will go a long way. :3

3.  A Deco Kit

I've always wanted one. x3 Well, actually, I would probably need more than one kit, since I plan on going deco crazy whenever I get around to purchasing some. I'm definitely going to cover my Nintendo DS, my Tamagotchi ID L, my cell phone (whenever I happen to get one, anyways), my compact mirror, and so on. :D Lols! I would so deco anything and everything I possibly can! xD

4. Tokidoki USB Flash Drive

Okay, so maybe a flash drive can be useful, but the reason I want this is because not only is it so adorable, but it comes with cute tokidoki themed desktop wallpapers, icons, avatars, and screensavers for your computer! <3

5. Tokidoki Figures

My husband started me off on wanting to collect these little figures. I've been a fan of Tokidoki merchandise for awhile now, but I never once thought about buying the figurines, until I received one of Polpettina as a gift. x3 Now I simply must get them all!

6.  More ID! Tamagotchi Home Station Plus

I've been keeping my eye on this ever since I got my Tamagotchi ID L. With this, you can play new minigames and create your own wallpapers for your home and clothes for your tamagotchi to wear, as well as make your own meals and toys, too! ^.^  Before you can create anything though, you first must collect ingredients by playing the mini games. This is compatible with both the Tamagotchi ID and ID L.

7. Nintendo 3DS

If you had read any of my recent posts regarding video games, you would already know why I want this. 'Nuff said.

8. Hello Kitty Toaster

.....Who wouldn't want to have Hello Kitty's face toasted on their bread?

9. Kobato Manga

I recently finished watching the anime for this series, and fell in love with it~! <3 It's really sweet, innocent, and touching. Now, I want to move on to reading the manga! ^_^

10.  Kaomoji Plushies

So cute, you can just eat them up, right? xD  I want these soooo much! They're just so adorable!!!

And that concludes my list... For now. ^.~

Shopping~

I decided to wear my new dress from Hell Bunny out today, and it caught so many people's attention! xD I was really happy over the compliments I received on it, especially because I love my new dress a bunch, but I also was a little embarrassed over some of the stares I got. ^/////^ I wonder if some of them thought I looked strange, but it doesn't bother me much if that really was what they were thinking. I feel absolutely amazing wearing this dress! Lols! It almost makes me feel like skipping through a field of flowers. It may sound weird saying that, but wearing it just makes me feel so feminine and youthful wearing it! Does that make sense...? :/

Oh! Also, while I was out, I came across these really cute blue bows at Hot Topic and I had to get them! As soon as my hubby and I left the store, I ran to the restrooms to go put them on~!

Haha, you can see the guinea pig cage behind me. xD

I love the little anchor charm on the bows! x3 They're adorned with rhinestones!!!! (I'm a freak for rhinestones)

I kind of like the way they look with my dress, even though they're a much darker blue than the stripes on it. :3

I really can't wait until my hair grows longer... *sigh* I've been really wanting to buy more hair accessories and I want to be able to style my hair in more ways, like in long waves with ribbons! I still have a few more inches to go until it'll be at the length I want it, and it feels like it's taking forever for it to get there. -_-;  All I can do though is be patient. :P
