Akihabara!

Sunday was the best day EVER so far! We took our first big outing since coming here to Japan! ^.^ We had so much fun exploring and looking around Akihabara, the electronic district! We took the trains all the way over there and had met up with one of my husband's best friends along the way (it was so nice of him to take us on a bit of a tour of the area ^_^). Amazingly, riding the trains over there wasn't so bad at all. It only took about an hour or so to get there from Fussa Station!

Once we arrived, I was in awe to see how huge and how busy it was compared to where we live (we live in a much more quiet and small suburban area). I guess that's to be expected though, since Akihabara is quite  a popular and well-known area. Of course, we took quite a few pictures on our way to Akihabara and as soon as we got there, so you guys can see for yourself! ^_^

Here's some pictures of  the area we live at.....
(Note: these were not taken on the day of our trip)

My husband took a picture of me as we were walking to Fussa Station one day.... Sneaky... -_-  Also, my hair seems to get messed up so easily in humid weather! >_<

I love how they have drink vending machines on EVERY street in Japan, especially with how hot it is right now! These are a life saver. x3 I got the peach drink (the pink one), and it really tastes like an actual peach! So yummy!

Now Compare the pictures above to these!

Annnd here's Akihabara! There was just so much to take in once we got off the train what with all the different signs and huge buildings surrounding us! Also, there were actually a lot of cosplayers around, too, but when my husband asked if he could snap a picture of them, they said no. ^^; I kind of don't blame them, though. Who knows how many perverts had probably asked them for pictures... o.o

It may not look like it, but this is a map and guide of the places around Akihabara!

The Sega Arcade! I've noticed that the arcades around here don't have too many video games, but a ton of capsule machines and crane games and other machines where you can win a wide variety of anime figures, shirts, and other things.

A few of the many figures you can try to win at the arcade....

These Pictures of Chie, Yosuke, and  Narukami covered a huge wall!

So... I have absolutely no idea what this game is or what it's called (I can't read the title of it just yet....), but it starts off as a driving/racing game, and then all of a sudden, your car transforms into a robot and fight other giant robots using the controllers that come out from below the steering wheel. Pretty cool, right? ^.^
For some reason, a picture of Katy Perry was on the window of an adult store.... o.O

Lastly, here are the pictures we took of the things we had bought! Most of the things we got came from capsule prize machines (I think my husband likes those machines just a little too much.... ^^;)

You can actually get one of these banks from J-list.com, but we actually found this one at an electronics store!

Annnnd that's all, for now. :) We definitely plan on going there again, and hopefully take even more pictures and see many other new things!

SHENANIGANS!!!!!

I am so very disappointed.... I feel as if my soul has been desecrated and thrown into eternal darkness....Why? Because of Toonami... I loved Toonami back in the day... It had great shows and lots of kid-friendly anime (or at the very least, cleaned up versions of certain series) such as Dragon Ball, DBZ, Cardcaptors, Hamtaro, Rurouni Kenshin, Yuyu Hakusho, and much more. I even remember waking up early in the mornings before school to catch episodes of Hamtaro. It was fan-freaking-tastic! :D Once Toonami had been discontinued, it felt like my childhood memories had been crushed.... Ever since then, I had been hoping it would return to Cartoon Network again.

Fast forward some years later, and Adult Swim announces that Toonami is being revived! I was a little skeptical as to why Adult Swim was the one to bring it back and not Cartoon Network, but I didn't care. I was so excited over it and I almost couldn't believe it! It just seemed too good to be true... and alas, it was. What has been "brought back" isn't the Toonami I used to know and love.... It's more like the old Adult Swim, you know, back when it mostly  consisted of anime targeted at a more mature audience with shows like Cowboy Bebop, FMA, etc. (even then, it's still not quite as good as the old lineup it had since shows like Inuyasha, Trigun, and Samurai Champloo haven't even been included) I think that's cool and all, but it's NOT Toonami. It's a farce! TT_TT Nice try, Adult Swim, but what you just did just doesn't cut it. Unless you somehow happen to bring Sailor Moon, Samurai Jack, Gundam Wing, Tenchi, and all of those other shows, and air them every morning and afternoon, you aren't worthy of the title Toonami. :P

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon

I'm so so SO happy that volumes one and two of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon had come in yesterday! As soon as they came in, I ripped open the box right away and I couldn't help but admire the cover art on each one. It's just so pretty! Lols! xD I have to say that I think the second volume's cover is my favorite of the two, which is odd for me since usually I would choose whatever has pink on it over anything else. :P But I really love how elegant Mercury looks on there and I think the water in the background looks, too.

I haven't read the manga before, so I am looking forward to seeing how it turns out. So far I've finished reading the first one, and it started off pretty similar to the anime at first, and then it became way different! Some of the encounters that  Usagi had when meeting some of the other sailor senshi for the first time had been altered quite a bit in the anime. Also, Usagi doesn't appear to be nearly as cowardly or as much of a crybaby in the manga. She seems to be a bit more brave and more willing to investigate things, and she also doesn't seem to refuse her role as leader like she does in the anime.

The manga also goes along a whole lot faster compared to the anime. There aren't so many in-between chapters or fillers and all of the sailor scouts have all pretty much been assembled aside from Sailor Venus in the first volume. Two of Queen Beryl's henchmen have also pretty much been killed off already, and don't have much of a story behind them, nor were they really given much personality.. It is kind of a fresh new take for me on the series. ^_^ I really enjoy it. :D It's fun spotting all of the differences! I can't wait to read the rest!

Yo! Say! Ho!

All I have to say is, if there is ANY reason at all to play Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations, it's this guy:

The Rapping Fool Killer Bee! Awwwww yeah~! He's the best part of playing through the game. xD

"On behalf of the moon, I will right wrongs and triumph over evil..."

I was so stoked to have found a Sailor Moon sticker! x3 I used to be so obsessed with that show when I was little, so I kind of freaked when I saw it. xD I always thought Sailor Moon was kind of a good role model for girls, even though she was an anime character. Think about it, at the end of every episode, they had that one segment called "Sailor Moon Says..." that had good lessons to teach, such as being kind to others, being responsible, and not judging others by their appearance, and of course, much more. ^_^ It really influenced me as a child to be as good as I could be in hopes to be like her. Amazingly, the things that I learned from just that tiny part of the show still stuck with me as I grew older, too! :D It's a shame that most cartoons and shows now don't have lessons to teach or a moral. Most of it is mostly compiled of random garbage that really does rot your brain. Seriously, I feel like I lost a few brain cells watching some of the newer stuff on Cartoon Network (though I have to say, Adventure Time and Regular Show are still pretty funny despite being completely random).

Anyways, after thinking of where to place the sticker, I finally decided to put it on my laptop. Take a look! ^.^

Yeah, I've also got Chrono from Chrono Trigger on here, too. :3
